As part of our ongoing series of investigative podcasts, “Crime Report” examines the investigation into the murder of Stephanie Maldonado, Gabby Petito and Kayla Bush , and the murders of Lauren and Jaclyn Solecki, recent victims of serial killers.

It’s been over ten years since these murders, but back in 2007, the P-N-M received this note from a source, which led us on a seemingly impossible road…how could the killer possibly be caught?

How could the killer possibly be caught? With forensic investigators and police going through several decades worth of cases, we broke new ground and re-examined the evidence that had not been examined before. By focusing not on the details, but on an interpretation of the evidence, we narrowed down the set of possibilities to exactly what did and did not match, eliminating a significant number of suspects. That said, the murder remains unsolved.
