While the last ‘Titans’ panel was about Superman and the other Justice League members, what followed was all about those new villains appearing in the pages of DC Comics. There were many, many villains getting their own stories as the Dark Knight had his hand in many, many of them in the ‘Titans’ arc. After all, we know what he has to do with the death of the original Earth One Superman. And he has to do it this way, because he is the Dark Knight.

But there was another villain, a new villain, who had to be introduced into the universe of the DC Comics in the ‘Titans’ arc. And that villain is Black Adam.

Black Adam is the son of Krypton, who went into hiding after his father’s death, and later went on to live a life of crime. Then in the DC Universe, he found a home among the heroes of Earth. He would eventually give birth to a child, who was named Jay Garrick in honor of his father’s best friend, James “Jay” Garrick who was killed during the “Titans” arc. In the comics, Jay had the power to absorb the minds of the living and make his own choices. Jay also had an interest in sports, and decided to give that gift to the boy he would eventually name Black Adam. In the comics, Black Adam would go on to become a famous athlete, and was killed in a car accident. But in the DC Universe, he would be a character in a new television show, and would become a superhero.

So that’s all that Black Adam has to do with this ‘Titans’ arc. He has a kid, he turns out to be evil. He takes away the life of a superhero. He becomes the Dark Knight.
